DECI-13 Call now open for DECI Tier-1 resources and EUDAT storage - closing 21 Sept
Opening date: 14/08/2015, 12:00 CEST
Closing date: 21/09/2015, 17:00 CEST
Allocation start date: 18/01/2016
Allocation period: 1 year for Project Access
Type of access: DECI (Tier-1)
DECI provides cross-national access to European Tier-1 HPC resources (national systems). In this call, access will be awarded for a period of 12 months, beginning on the 18th of January 2016. Resources are available on the following architectures: Cray XC30/Cray XC40, IBM Blue Gene/Q, Intel clusters (various processor and memory configurations) and hybrid systems (clusters with GPGPU accelerators or Xeon Phi Co-processors) made available from Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Poland, Serbia, Spain, Sweden, the Netherlands and the UK.
This call is open as a pilot call for joint DECI Tier-1 resources and EUDAT storage services, offering the possibility to couple EUDAT storage capacity to DECI HPC resources. Projects that are awarded DECI resources will be eligible to be considered for EUDAT storage. Around 1 PB (1000 TB) of storage capacity is available within the EUDAT call, or 150 TB for each project that receives DECI access. EUDAT guarantees data storage at one or several of the 12 EUDAT sites for at least 24 months after the end of the DECI optional program grant, free of charge. Applicants requesting access to EUDAT resources and services should apply for these via the EUDAT call. Projects that apply to both the DECI and EUDAT calls are invited to indicate a preferred EUDAT site.
