NAISS rounds for compute/storage allocations in 2023 open
Dardel CPUs & GPUs can be requested
On the 1st of January this year, the National Academic Infrastructure for Supercomputing in Sweden (NAISS) took over from the Swedish National Infrastructure for Computing (SNIC). In case you missed the link in the latest PDC newsletter to the final SNIC newsletter with FAQs about NAISS, you can also find the answers to those FAQs here: www.naiss.se/#faq .
If you would like to apply for compute or storage allocations for research, various NAISS application rounds are currently open:
- NAISS compute and also storage rounds (both for small and medium allocations),
- Swedish Science Cloud round, and
- NAISS SENS rounds (for small and medium allocations working with sensitive data).
Further rounds (for large allocations on systems in Sweden and for allocations on the LUMI system in Finland) will be opened later this year. For details about all the rounds and how to apply to them, see www.naiss.se/#application-rounds-for-compute-and-storage-resources .
Note that you can currently request resources on Dardel's CPU partition (which will be enlarged soon) or on the new Dardel GPU partition via either the small or medium compute rounds. To request storage connected to Dardel, see "Klemming" in the information about the small or medium storage rounds.
