PhD position in HPC open at PDC
Applications close 2 April 2021
There is an opening at PDC for a doctoral student to perform research on the co-design of quantum chemistry applications and HPC architectures and technologies. During the project, select technology features will be explored and opportunities for exploiting these for TREX flagship applications will be developed, assessed and demonstrated.
The PhD project will take place as part of a European Centre of Excellence for applications from quantum chemistry called TREX . The mission of this Centre of Excellence is to develop and apply high-performance software solutions for quantum mechanical simulations using upcoming supercomputers providing exascale performance.
Candidates are expected to have a strong interest in parallel computer architectures. Skills in parallel programming, software engineering and performance analysis are desirable.
