Funka's recommendations regarding support during examination

During examinations, some students are entitled to compensatory support based on Funka's criteria. Here we explain what you as an examiner need to keep in mind to provide proper support during exams in a classroom or computer room, oral examinations, take-home exams and other forms of examination.

Examination in a classroom or computer room

By default, compensatory support is handled by the exam administration or their undergraduate assistants, if the exam is conducted in a classroom or computer room. They will contact you as an examiner if there is anything you need to change in Canvas (usually extended time).

If you choose to manage the examination on your own, you must also manage compensatory support on your own. The following page explains how you can see which students are entitled to compensatory support and what kind of support it is, as well as other important things about compensatory support: Managing support for students with disabilities .

Tip! If you have questions about how best to provide support, contact the experts:

Oral examination, take-home examination and other forms of examination

As an examiner, you handle compensatory support for the forms of examination that are not examinations in classrooms or in computer rooms. You are advised to provide the support that is possible and relevant to do. The following page explains how you can see which students are entitled to compensatory support and what kind of support it is, as well as other important things about compensatory support: Managing support for students with disabilities .

You should discuss how to arrange the support with Funka and the exam administration, and possibly also with the students concerned.
