An increasing number of cities and regions are deciding to restrict fossil advertising for different spaces and platforms. Such restrictions may entail prohibiting advertisements for flying, fossil fuel vehicles and oil companies. Following Amsterdam's pioneering of this approach, similar initiatives have mushroomed - with Edinburgh, Stockholm, the Hague and Sydney as some examples of cities which have decided to limit fossil advertising. Within Sweden, similar decisions have been made by Västtrafik and Region Stockholm.

What drivers and arguments are used by the cities and regions that choose to restrict fossil advertising? What challenges do they meet along the way? And what opportunities can be seen?

Welcome to this webinar in which different approaches to limiting fossil advertising will be discussed. We will also get a chance to listen to representatives of the City of Stockholm and Västtrafik, alongside international researchers and civil society actors who have worked on this question.

The webinar will be held in a mixture of English and Swedish.
