The school's JML group is currently being reorganized to further strengthen the JML work

The JML group is led by the Head of school, who is the school's equality, diversity and equal conditions responsible (JMLA). We are looking for three representatives from the teachers and researchers within the school and two external representatives from outside the ABE school and KTH to join the JML group.

You are welcome to register your interest or nominate a colleague or external expert. We also welcome suggestions for external experts to join the group, with primary employment outside the ABE School or KTH. Please send your expression of interest or nomination to jmla@abe.kth.se  by 15 January 2026 at the latest.

About the assignment

The ABE School's JML group has the following tasks:

  • Act as a reference group for the Head of school/JMLA on strategic issues within the JML area.

  • Participate in the formulation, prioritization and implementation of initiatives within the JML area.

  • Raise awareness of JML issues at the school, for example by organizing seminars and workshops

  • Ensure ongoing support and reporting on JML issues in relevant forums such as the school management advisory board, head of department meetings and the ABE faculty board.

Term of office

2 years. The assignment may be extended

Scope of the assignment

Approximately 4 meetings per year (1.5–2 hours/meeting)

Composition of the JML Group as of 2026

  • Head of School and JMLA convene

  • Three representatives from the faculty/researchers

  • Two external representatives, experts

  • JML partner at university administration supports the group

  • JML strategist at KTH Equality Office may be co-opted if necessary

  • Doctoral student representative may be co-opted if necessary

Considerations regarding composition: Gender balance, diversity, seniority, expertise, commitment.

Within the open call, all staff members may submit proposals for external experts to the group.

A small group consisting of Head of school, one Head of department and management support reviews the applications and nominations received and ensures that the group is put together based on considerations such as gender, diversity, seniority and expertise.

Head of School decides on representatives in the JML-group
