Canvas account login problem

Have you been able to login to Canvas before?

To try to find your login problem, follow these steps.

1. Make sure you were trying to login at the correct place.
   • If you are registered as a student: login with a KTH account (canvas.kth.se) .
   • If you are a teacher or admin: login with a KTH account (canvas.kth.se) .
   • If you are not using a KTH account to login: login without a KTH account (canvas.kth.se/login/canvas) .
2. Check if there are any ongoing issues with the servers.
   • Operational status for IT-systems at KTH .
   • Canvas status page (status.instructure.com) .
3. If your login issue persists, please send an e-mail to it-support@kth.se  for further support.

Is this the first time you are trying to login to Canvas?

It is most likely that you do not have an account in Canvas yet. Read this information and follow the instructions.

KTH students

Make sure you are admitted for at least one course at KTH using Ladok for students (student.ladok.se) . The registration is what triggers the Canvas account creation. In most cases you will have access to Canvas within a few hours, but in exceptional cases it can take up to 24 hours. Read more about Course registration .
