Our guest for this talk is Cyrus C. M. Mody , Professor of the History of Science, Technology, and Innovation at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at Maastricht University, The Netherlands.
He is the director of Director of MUSTS (Maastricht University Science, Technology and Society Studies) Research Cluster and the PI of the NWO Vici project "Managing Scarcity".
From the latter project Cyrus will present a forthcoming book-length study titled Oil and Its Alternatives: The Oil Industry's Other Business in the Twentieth Century.
