The role of English in STEM
There is no official language for Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). However, English has become the most common language used by students and employees around the world in STEM, business, and academia when collaborating with speakers of other languages.
Develop your academic voice
KTH Language and Communication works with students, researchers and staff across the university to help them improve their academic language and literacy skills, and to develop their competence in adapting their communication to diverse audiences within and beyond the university. Students at all levels get support to gain confidence in presenting work and writing different kinds of texts, such as reports, proposals, and work-related email. Doctoral students and other researchers are supported within all aspects of knowledge communication, such as writing scientific articles and speaking at conferences. Students also receive help in navigating AI writing technologies in order to develop critical and ethical practices in this area.
