Safe and user-centered health- and social Care in a home environment
In March, a three-year research and development project was successfully completed, with participation from KTH, Region Stockholm, Stockholm City, Capio Primary Care AB, and Cuviva AB. The project, titled "Safe and user-centered health- and social Care in a home environment," aimed to contribute to the socially sustainable development of the health and social care system for frail elderly individuals receiving care at home.
The study identified several obstacles that make it challenging to implement new working methods and solutions that could otherwise support increased collaboration and integration among different care providers. These include conflicting perspectives and goals, incentives and driving forces. Additionally, the study highlights the need to review compensation models, organisational follow-up and evaluation procedures, and the interpretation of laws across different municipalities and regions. Based on the project's insights, several possible areas for development have been identified.
More information about these findings can be found in the final report, which is available for download at the link below.
