SDS T-SIG Annual Workshop

This free workshop will consist of a mix of presentations, engagement sessions and network building opportunities.

The intention of the workshop is to showcase the range of research and practice being carried out in transport studies and planning using system thinking methods, particularly system dynamics, and it is designed to:

• Promote the role of systems thinking approaches in transport;
• Facilitate communication and collaboration in transport and systems thinking;
• Encourage and support early-stage researchers in systems thinking in transport
• Share methodological approaches, teaching materials, works in progress, best practise case studies and state-of-the-art use of systems thinking in transportation research and planning.

NEW! This year we offer a new type of submission format: Full paper with dialogue, where you are invited to submit a full paper that is still work in progress (ca 6000 words). The paper will be assigned to a discussant, and also shared with the participants. At the workshop, the paper will be presented and followed by an in-depth dialogue about the work with the aim to inspire to improve the work. Note that this is a two-step process, where an abstract is first submitted to match the work with a discussant. This is an ideal opportunity for getting early and interactive peer review prior to journal submission, that could lead to a smoother publication of your paper!
