Stability of rotating channel and Couette flow

Abstract: In this presentation, I will discuss the linear stability of plane channel flow and plane Couette flow subjected to streamwise rotation. The results are compared with DNS. I will also present some preliminary DNS results of turbulent plane Couette flow under streamwise rotation. Large, oblique structures and a distinct secondary mean flow are observed.
