Card and code for entrance doors on campus

Published Jun 04, 2025

As part of the work “Safe and secure at KTH,” all entrance doors to our properties will be locked. From this summer, or autumn depending on the address, both card and code will be required for both employees and students to enter.

The purpose of the change is to increase safety and reduce theft and vandalism. If you don't remember your code, you can get a new one at KTH Entré. Remember to bring ID.

The school is reviewing permissions linked to guests, affiliates and non-employees who have access cards to our premises. More information will be sent to those of you who handle these access cards shortly.

At Brinellvägen 8 and Teknikringen 1, the change was introduced during May. For the rest of campus, it will happen gradually during the year. At the ABE school, this will be introduced:

  • 12 June: Teknikringen 72–78 (School and Education Office, Department of Philosophy and History, and Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering)
  • 30 June: Brinellvägen 23 (Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering)
  • 6 October: Teknikringen 10 and Osquars backe 5 (Departments of Real Estate and Construction Management, Sustainable Development, Environmental Science and Engineering [SEED], Urban Planning and Environment, and Department of Architecture)

The change is not temporary but applies until further notice."
