Prisma

Prisma is the joint application system for the research funders the Swedish Research Council (VR), Forte, Formas, Karolinska Institutet, the Swedish Institute for Educational Research, the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency and the Swedish National Space Agency.
The following applies at the ABE-school for handling applications and approval of conditions in Prisma.

Applications

The relevant Head of Department approve applications (regardless of value).

If the Head of Department is a co-applicant, the relevant Head of Department sends an email to the Head of School and asks the Head of School to approve the application.

Approval of conditions when KTH is the fund manager

The stated levels are governed by KTH's delegation procedure, where the President decides which further delegations can be made.

The value of granted funds is less than SEK 5 million

The Head of Department approves the terms in Prisma.

The value of granted funds exceeds SEK 5 million

The Head of School approves the terms in Prisma.

Handling

The relevant Head of Department emails the Head of School to ask for the Head of School to approve the terms. As the e-mail comes from the Head of Department, this is seen as an equivalent to "the department's confirmation"-fom and the Head of School will act on the request.

Transfer project to another fund manager

The Head of School approves the move via Prisma.

The relevant Head of Department emails the Head of School and asks the Head of School to approve the transfer of the project to another fund manager. The move should be preceded by a dialogue between the Head of Department and the Head of School.
