Learning for gender equality, diversity and equal conditions
KTH aims to integrate knowledge and awareness of gender equality, diversity and equal conditions in all educational programs. The knowledge content should preferably be integrated into the subject learning in the program.
For students:
The mandatory minimum level for all KTH's programs is that knowledge about gender equality, diversity and equal conditions must be conveyed and examined in the education, so that students upon graduation:
- can explain basic concepts and definitions relating to gender equality, diversity and equal conditions
- can interpret expressions of (gender) inequality and power imbalance in society and working life.
- are aware of the consequences of (gender) inequality for technology and social development
- knows that there is discrimination legislation, legal requirements for proactive measures, equality policy goals and that equality and reduced inequality are goals for sustainable development
- knows methods for change in organizations that aim to increase equality, diversity and equal conditions in society and working life.
For teachers additional:
- Gender-aware and inclusive pedagogy (supplement higher education pedagogy).
For doctoral students, additional:
- Gender in research, theory and method (additional doctoral level).
