Recruitment

Here is a short summary of what documents are needed based on job title.

Before you can advertise

Before each recruitment, there is documentation that must always be included. There is some variation depending on the position, but the overall process is mostly the same. The documentation that must always be available is:

A financial plan/budget
Contact the finance department to create a draft of the financial plan that covers the entire employment period.
 or e-mail

When recruiting a PhD Student

In addition to the budget, you also need to prepare a documentation that aims to ensure a good working environment for the doctoral student.
It is called Green Light and can be found here:

Go to KTH:s guide on Doctoral student employment  for more information about the recruitment process.

When recruiting a Postdoc for employment

The postdoctoral position is possible provided that the applicant's doctoral degree is not older than three years before the end of the application period (according to KTH's guidelines). The postdoctoral agreement covers two years. It is not possible to divide a postdoctoral position into one year with a one-year extension, the agreement must cover two years.

In addition to the budget, you also need to make an employment profile. Read more about the employment profile and the process at: KTH:s guide on recruiting a postdoc

When recruiting a researcher, research engineer, technician or administrator

In addition to the budget, you also need to make an recruitment permit. Go to KTH:s pages on recruitment  for more information about the recruitment process.

When recruiting a teacher

This process is a lot different and has several steps before advertising. You can read more on KTH:s pages on recruitment  for more information about the recruitment process. Contact HR if youneed help and start the conversation with the schools future faculty advisor.

Union collaborationgroup

When the documentation is complete, HR will make sure that the school union collaboration group (SSG) will be informed before advertising. This is according to KTH:s collaboration agreement. SSG's meetings are biweekly.
