CALL

Published Mar 27, 2020

SciLifeLab welcomes proposals from researchers nationwide with the hope to create a comprehensive program to combat the corona virus pandemic, short- or medium-term, directly or indirectly via scientific approaches.

SciLifeLab welcome proposals for i) coordination of samples, studies and data, ii) technology development and iii) research projects. SciLifeLab will consider individual proposals, but will also coordinate the suggestions between applicants to form synergies. All proposals should be placed in an international context and contribute to open science when possible. This call is funded via national SciLifeLab funds as well as external sources, e.g. the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation (KAW).

The application process will be rapid (short one-page application, rapid evaluation) and project funding will be granted available primarily for short-term (year 2020) research initiatives. Funding is mainly meant for research costs, such as development of technologies or the use of SciLifeLab infrastructure and data capabilities. A proposal should primarily address one of the focus areas. An applicant may participate in several grant applications.
