Call for proposals to promote initiatives focused on circular economy
The KTH Industrial Transformation Platform supports activities related to the transition to a circular economy, which is the focus of KTH Transformation Day 2023. The maximum limit for individual grants is SEK 100,000, and the application deadline is 1 August 2023.
About the call
We welcome researchers at KTH to seek funding for initiatives that contribute to industrial transformation for a sustainable and resource-smart society. We especially welcome applications for the preparation of planning grants to map and analyse research needs, for preparation of research applications or grants for the organisation of seminars. Grants can cover salary costs, including indirect costs, simpler equipment, travel, and expenses in connection with the organisation of meetings and seminars etc. The maximum limit for individual grants is SEK 100,000.
We prioritise interdisciplinary projects that promote collaboration between different disciplines and that have the potential to make a big impact in the next step within the framework of the specific focus area of the platform and the call. Collaboration with external actors is particularly welcomed. The call primarily covers research initiatives, but applications that connect research with lifelong learning to facilitate transformation are also welcomed.
How to apply
Your application must contain a brief justification of how the grant can contribute to new knowledge and make an impact connected to the circular economy. Furthermore, the application must contain information about the applicants, how the collaboration will take place, and a description of how the funds will be used, including budget (Max 3 pages, Word 12p). In cases where the application refers to planning grants for research projects, the grant is paid out after the application has been submitted to the specific call.
Application deadline
The deadline for applications is 1 August 2023, but applications are evaluated on an ongoing basis.
