Large-scale research infrastructures
Large-scale research infrastructures are state-of-the-art experimental facilities where scientists can gain access to the best tools available for conducting their science. For advanced material characterization and development, such facilities include X-ray sources in the form of synchrotron and free-electron laser (FEL), neutron sources (research reactors and spallation sources), as well as muon sources.
