Decisions on awarding scholarships
The government supports the scholarships awarded by KTH financially. The KTH Scholarships are tuition fee waivers. There are also privately funded scholarships for studies at KTH.
Decisions on awarding scholarships are made by a scholarship committee, composed of the chairman Stefan Östlund , and the members Karin Edvardsson Björnberg (ABE), Anna Finne Wistrand (CBH), Mats Bengtsson (EECS), Fredrik Asplund (ITM) and Urban Westergren (SCI). Also present at the committee meetings are Christina Murray , Malin Sigvardson , and Olof Landin , from the University Administration. Notifications of awarded scholarships are handled by the Admissions office. The awardees has seven days to respond to the offer.

Which students are eligible for which scholarships?
Students applying to KTH as their first priority, fee-paying students and conditionally eligible students are eligible for the scholarships.
Scholarships are largely awarded based on academic excellence:
- KTH Scholarship : Tuition waiver scholarship funded in part by UHR.
- KTH India Scholarship : Tuition waiver and covers living expenses, funded by the KTH India Scholarship Foundation
- KTH One-Year Scholarship : For fee-paying KTH students who will start their second year at KTH.
- KTH Joint Programme Scholarship : For fee-paying students who does part of their master's education at KTH in collaboration with certain other Nordic and European universities.
- Sökbart för avgiftsskyldiga studenter som läser en del av sin utbildning på KTH inom ramen för ett masterprogram som ges i samarbete med andra nordiska eller europeiska universitet.
