STINT
The Swedish Foundation for International Cooperation in Research and Higher Education, STINT, has the mission to internationalise Swedish higher education and research. STINT offer a number of grants and scholarship programmes, where KTH can seek funding for various forms of international activities in higher education and research.
The programmes aim to pick up on various current needs, from initiating international projects through four-year international partnerships at faculty level, to strategic internationalisation at university level. Application can be done by KTH faculty directly to STINT on all programmes except for "Strategic Grants for Internationalization" and "Teaching Sabbatical". Support in the application process is offered.

Strategic Grants for Internationalization
Higher education and research is in a highly dynamic period which brings about new opportunities and challenges. This in turn requires clear goals and strategies for internationalisation at universities. With Strategic Grants for Internationalisation, STINT will contribute to the renewal and development of internationalisation strategies at university level. The programme is aimed at the university leadership. Applications should incorporate strategically important internationalisation initiatives which also utilise the experience and dedication of individual leaders in their field at each university. Note that applications for this action should be submitted by the president.

Teaching Sabbatical
The Teaching Sabbatical programme aims to develop both individuals and institutions. By giving Swedish university teachers international experiences relevant to their teaching role rather than their research one, STINT will contribute to educational renewal and the creation of new networks. With its scholarship programme, STINT wants to highlight the fact that academic teachers need international models and experiences.
Participating teachers will reside at the foreign university for the autumn semester (August to December). The intention is for them to teach, either by giving a course themselves or in partnership with a colleague at the host university. STINT is collaborating with selected universities based in the US, Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan. STINT aims to provide at least ten scholarships a year.
