Stockholm University's fifth biennial Teachers' Conference

The conference is aimed at teaching staff and educational managers at the university.
The conference brings together teachers from across the university to share experiences on teaching, pedagogical development and to take a scientific approach to teaching and learning in order to continue to improve our teaching and learning environments. The conference language is Swedish but there will be an English track to follow.
The teacher conference is one of the university's higher education pedagogical initiatives for teachers and the development of teaching and learning at SU.
Meaningful learning in time
We live in a changing time full of challenges that are pressing - digital, personal, local and global. How do events around us affect our ability to conduct education where both students and teachers feel that the time and commitment we invest is meaningful? We want university education to be just that: Meaningful!
Countless studies in higher education pedagogy since the end of the last century and until today show that students' perception of meaningfulness in what they study, the teaching activities they are involved in and the way they are examined is extremely important for their commitment and interest to persevere, to immerse themselves, to make an effort.
The same, of course, applies to those of us who work as academic staff - university teachers and administrators. The Teachers' Conference2024 is themed "Meaningful Learning in Time" to allow us to explore, share and critically discuss together the ways in which we seek to understand and create a meaningful university environment for both students and teachers.
