Time plan licentiate

The seminar should take place between 7 January and 15 June or between 15 and August and 20 December. For more detailed information please contact your Doctoral studies Administrator at the department.

According to the fixed timetable, the application must be submitted to the department administrator 7 weeks before the scheduled date and to the school's office no later than 5 weeks before the scheduled date. These 7 and 5 weeks, respectively, are to fall during the periods 7 January - 15 June and 15 August - 20 December. Remember to book a room and arrange printing.

The forms that you need can be downloaded from the Blankettarkivet (Form archive)  at KTH.

At the latest 9 weeks before the licentiate seminar

Main supervisor proposes an advance reviewer (the advance reviewer must have at least 10 days to do the review).

  • Form: Advance reviewer for licentiate thesis/doctoral thesis

Submit the following to the Doctoral studies administrator at the department

  • Form: Announcement of licentiate seminar (Anmälan – licentiatseminarium)
  • Form: Quality review (Summering av kvalitetsgranskning för licentiat- och doktorsavhandling)
  • Form: Distribution address list (Distributionslista)

Doctoral student in cooperation with the main supervisor

At the latest 5 weeks before

The forms are sent to the Doctoral studies officer at the School of Architecture and the Built Environment

Administrator at the department

     

At the latest 3 weeks before

Decision of the licentiate seminar is distributed.

The thesis has to be distributed.

The licentiate thesis must be made available in electronic form through Diva (posted).

The "certificate" (Intyg - licentiatexamen) for the seminar is sent to the main supervisor.

After the seminar

The certificate (Intyg - licentiatexamen) is sent to the doctoral studies officer at ABE

All courses are to be completed and registered in Ladok.

Thesis is registered in Ladok.

The application for a Degree Certificate should be made online through Personal menu/Services

The application is reviewed first by the doctoral studies officer at the School and then by a degree officer at KTH, central administration.

All KTH Degree Certificates are issued as electronic documents.
