InspireTalks: Matilda Larsson
Preventing childbirth injuries
Birth injuries still affect too many women in Sweden and worldwide, and historically, they were ignored. Meet the KTH researcher developing ground-breaking ultrasound technology to prevent childbirth injuries.
Time: Thu 2025-11-27 12.10 - 12.50
Location: Arenan, Teknikringen 1
Matilda Larsson, is a Professor of Medical Image Processing at KTH, and develops imaging technologies to enhance diagnosis and treatment. An example of her research is a project focusing on advancing ultrasound tools to detect childbirth-related pelvic floor injuries. By enabling earlier diagnosis and personalised care, it promotes better health outcomes and a more inclusive healthcare system.
