In the era of digitalization, there is a burgeoning interest in harnessing the potential of real-world data to drive innovation in digital healthcare and medicine. Several comprehensive and systematic pipelines will be presented. The case studies will regard oncology clinical trial design, and healthcare delivery. Challenges regarding complexity behind real-life systems and operations, the gap between primary and secondary use, and biases and confounders that affects model outcomes will be pointed out.
