From Data to Insight: Statistical Process Analysis for Learning-Oriented Leadership

In many organisations, large amounts of operational data are collected, but the information is often used only descriptively – to report outcomes rather than to understand variation and underlying causes. In this lecture, I demonstrate how statistical methods from Six Sigma, such as control charts and regression analysis, can be used to generate more reliable knowledge about what actually drives organisational performance. These methods enable us to distinguish signal from noise, identify patterns over time, and make more informed and accurate decisions. I also discuss how statistical process analysis can be integrated into academic and technical environments to strengthen data-driven and learning-oriented leadership.
