Learning, Teaching, and Researching Artificial Intelligence and Human-Robot Interaction in the Era of Large Language Models

The rise of Large Language Models (LLMs) is rapidly transforming how we learn, teach, and conduct research within Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Human-Robot Interaction (HRI). This docent lecture will explore the impact of AI tools on skill acquisition, both in academic settings and across various industries. Drawing examples from the Artificial Intelligence course (DD2380), and other sources, I will discuss possible adaptations made to teaching and learning strategies in the era of LLMs. Furthermore, I will extensively delve into the ways LLMs are reshaping research within HRI, highlighting their influence on my current and future projects. This talk has been designed to provide insights for both educators, researchers, and anyone interested in intersections between AI, Education, Multimodal-Machine Learning and Human-Robot Interaction.
