76 billion left in Horizon Europe

Published May 26, 2023

Are you interested in obtaining funding from Horizon Europe? Great news – close to 80 percent of the funds remain. Below is a list of each pillar and their budgets.

With a total budget of 95,5 billion euros, Horizon Europe is the most extensive research and innovation programme ever in the history of the EU. Almost 80 percent of the funds remain, which means there are excellent opportunities for KTH researchers to receive funds for ground-breaking research, international mobility, networks, and collaborations to benefit industry and broader society.

“The Research Support Office (RSO) plans a coaching and seminar programme this autumn to assist researchers in preparing competitive proposals. The main focus will be on the curiosity-driven European Research Council and Marie Sklodowska Curie Actions and global challenges with targeted topics. Stay tuned for more information!” says Gustav Sigeman , Senior Research Advisor responsible for pre-award ERC and Marie Curie (see pillar for excellent science) services at RSO.

Currently, KTH is participating in 123 Horizon Europe projects, placing KTH at a shared first place in Sweden with Lund University.

Horizon Europe
