Research Support Office has a new address!
On 19 February, Research Support Office (RSO) moved to Teknikringen 1. The building can also be accessed from the courtyard at Brinellvägen 8 but the formal address is Teknikringen 1 and the one to remember for coming invitations to RSO workshops, seminars, presentations and other events.
- After re-organising and expanding the division Research Support Office a year ago, we have been working from three different locations. Now we are finally, all 35 of us at RSO, in the same building, although spread out on two floors. This will be a great advantage for our internal work and for providing more efficient research support; sharing knowledge and quick feedback loops in the same corridor, says Maria Gustafsson, Head of KTH Research Support Office.
Concentrated competence for research support
- It will be easier for us to coordinate and develop the research support for KTH researchers as well as to the other divisions within the University Administration as well as to the KTH management groups. On a daily basis, we are in contact with and support very many functions throughout KTH.
- The different units within RSO work with a broad range of support such as application and pre-award support, data management plans and export control, research intelligence, contract management, support for strategic development and establishment of research infrastructure or research centres, fundraising, management of foundations and donations and much more.
A new start also of the RSO Intranet pages
- We are also taking the opportunity to update and rebuild our pages on the KTH Intranet. It will be easier to find who works with various tasks and how to contact the right person. For other questions, there will be a non-personal email: researchsupport@kth.se.
- During the coming months we will add more useful information, templates, guidelines and FAQs and checklists. In the Research Support section, there are also links and pages managed by other divisions that we work closely with e.g KTH Library, KTH Innovation, Sustainability Office and Communications and Business Liasions.
Teknikringen 1 is a dynamic meetingplace
In the entrance of Teknikringen 1, there is an open arena where many forms of activities for KTH researchers, students and staff will be organised. RSO and KTH Innovation collaborate and plan to offer regular ”open clinic hours” for meeting a research advisor or business development coach etc. Some issues are cross-cutting such as IP, contract agreements and Professor´s privilege.
Research Support Office will have an Open House mingle as soon as everyone has packed up and the facilities are ready. Keep yourself posted via the RSO Newsletter and information on the KTH Intranet.
