Erling-Persson Foundation
In 1947, Erling Persson founded the company that today has developed into the global H&M group. In 1999, the Erling Persson Foundation was established in memory of Erling's many contributions to trade and enterprise. Donations from the Persson family fund the foundation.
The Erling-Persson Foundation supports scientific research. Within this area, the Foundation prioritizes projects with a focus on medicine and has a preference for research that is close to the patient and application-oriented.
As collaboration across scientific boundaries has created significant opportunities for positive results, the foundation is happy to support projects of this nature. Funds have been donated in several areas, such as diabetes, palliative care and cancer research.
