Forwarding

In order to guarantee compliance with KTH's regulatory requirements, automatic forwarding to external e-mail systems (eg Google, Hotmail, etc.) is not permitted. The reason for this is to be able to ensure that the communications that are of a public nature are not lost. It should be possible to trace, follow up and if needed possible to be reviewed at a later stage. One example is communication between teacher and student.

However, there may be special reasons to forward your e-mail to another system, even externally. This is granted by submitting a formal order to the IT Support Center (or their local IT support), which must be signed by the nearest manager. The form is found at the IT Support Center. This formality is primarily intended to shed light on the responsibilities and clarify the importance of traceability, etc.

Internal forwarding made to ex. EEES, nordita etc. may, of course, be made, provided that the e-mail system of the receiving school / unit has procedures that follow and live up to the requirements required by this regulation.
