We have the pleasure of inviting you to a workshop on Gender equality, diversity and equal conditions (Swedish acronym JML), held especially for PhD students from the Physics and Applied Physics programs. A similar workshop has been held earlier this period for faculty from the applied physics department. It is offered by the Equality office and the authors of the SCI inventory of gender equality problems at the SCI School at KTH .

In this workshop we’ll explore how in/equality is expressed in society, organisations and in social groups, with a focus on KTH and a study on gender equality at the SCI school. What do we know about the situation at our own university, how do we work with gender equality, diversity and equal conditions, and what are our next steps forward?

The workshop will be held in Salongen 1  on May 11th 1-4pm.

If you would like to obtain credits for the course (1,5 hp), on top of active participation in the discussions at the workshop itself, you will need to watch the movie "Picture a Scientist" (on Netflix or available through the KTH library) prior to the workshop, and hand-in some reflections on the workshop contents.

We very much look forward to welcoming many of you at this workshop, and hope that this is a step towards improving our work environment and creating equitable work conditions for all!
