Welcome to the second SCI School lunch and learn impact session
(The lunch and learn occasions are independent of each other, you can choose to attend all three, two or just one)

Workshop on Personal Impact Plan (PIP)

This workshop on Personal Impact Plan (PIP) aims at giving you a broader perspective on possible future societal impact of your research.
You will learn:

  • how to use the tool PIP and reflecting on possible future impact 8 – 10 years from now in different sectors/regions etc. to,
  • be better equipped by building your research projects strategically and
  • to create a template that you will use for different research applications.

The workshop starts with 30 min presentation followed by group discussions. Lunch will be served.

Time: Wednesday 13 June, 12:00-13:45 including lunch.
Place: Hall FB42, 4th floor, AlbaNova, Roslagstullsbacken 21

The reason why we all need to improve our understanding and engagement relating to societal impact is:

  • Increased requirements to describe expected societal impact in research applications.
  • Increased requirements regarding visibility of your research and what effects it has in society in general.
  • Higher international requirements to demonstrate the impact and benefit of research and education
  • Task of the Swedish government to show how tax-funded funds are used in universities and colleges

Welcome to ”Lunch and Learn” sessions about Impact for staff at SCI School during 2018

Val Zwiller and Zuheir Barsoum, impact responsible at the SCI School, will organise three Lunch and Learn sessions where you as a researcher or PhD student are invited to learn more about how to be successful with your impact work. Lunch will be served and a separate invitation including a registration link will be sent out for each occasion. The lunch and learn occasions are independent of each other, you can choose to attend all three, two or just one. Will be held in English.

1. Seminar on social media
May 18 at 12:00-12:45 in hall U1, Brinellvägen 28A
Target group: Researchers and PhD students at the SCI School.
Speakers: Anna Kivilehto, Research Office, KTH.

45-minute lunch seminar on how researchers can use social media in research projects to increase the impact of the project. To include social media in the project application (communication, dissemination, engagement) and how to integrate it into work packages in the research project. Information about how you can use social media for communication with both the research community and potential users in your overall research.

3. Workshop on the Impact of H2020 - Succeed with your application!
Sometime during autumn, date will be sent out later.

Target group: Researchers at the SCI School.

Speaker: Susanna Pehrson, Research Office, KTH

Two hour workshop and seminar including group discussion on interesting H2020 calls and how impact can be included in the project application.

Presentation about impact in general in H2020, after that presentation of interesting announcements for SCI school, then group discussions linked to specific announcements.
