  KTH is part of five consortia within the prestigious EU-funded European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), set up in 2008 to boost innovation and entrepreneurship to strengthen European competitiveness and make Europe a global leader in strategic areas.

• Strategic research initiatives

  The group Strategic Initiatives and Collaboration (STRIV) provides internal support for the establishment, coordination, and development of strategic initiatives, such as research centres, Strategic Research Areas (SRA), Research Infrastructures (RI), KTH research platforms, and EIT KICs (European Institute of Innovation & Technology, Knowledge & Innovation Communities). The research advisors in the Strategic initiatives group work closely with the KTH management.
