• From proteins to promotion

  “You have a high forehead, you,” says hat maker Mark Eriksson, as he measures star researcher Mathias Uhléns skull. “Well, I’ve got a lot of stuff to store in there,” jokes Uhlén, who is getting ready for his role as promoter at KTH’s conferment of doctoral degrees and inauguration of new professors in the Stockholm Concert Hall.

• Academic ceremonies at KTH

  A number of academic ceremonies are arranged by KTH each year. They are held to celebrate Academic achievements such as the conferment of new doctors, inaguration of new professors as well as graduation ceremony for masters, masters of engineering and architects. Academic prizes and awards are given out during the ceremonies. At KTH, the conferment ceremony is held in November, the Inaguration of new professors in March or April and the Diploma ceremonies are held in May and December.

• Conferment ceremony for PhD:s at KTH

  The conferment of new doctors at KTH takes place at at Stockholm City Hall (Stadshuset), on Friday 15 November 2024. Invitations will be sent out in late September.
