Here's how to test

What is meant by beta?

Beta, or beta version, is a system version that is still under development but has reached a stable enough status so that it is considered to meet most system requirements. A target group tests the system in a "beta test" to possibly discover bugs and other things that can be improved upon even more.

Note what is good and what you think is less good. It can be about the interface, text size and other things.

The beta period will last until the beginning of the year 2023. We will contact you sometime during that period to take part in your feedback. We see contact details for everyone who tests automatically, so you don't need to send us your email address before you start.

There is no requirement for how much feedback you need to provide, and all opinions are important to us. We are very grateful that you contribute to our goal of making the Personal Menu as good as possible for KTH.

If you find significant problems, please send it directly to it-support@kth.se  and write "Feedback beta Personal menu" in the subject line.

What has changed in the new version of the Personal menu?

This is new right now:

"Courses" become two tabs

"Courses" now become two tabs: "Studies" and "Teaching". The needs of students and teachers look different, and the technical solution needs to be developed with this in mind. It has been complicated as the tab was the same for both roles. Now we hope that the change is appreciated.

Clearer course name

Another thing that was found during needs gathering is, for example, that teachers and students look for different things in course names when the course needs to be identified. Teachers sometimes need to be able to see several course rooms in Canvas for the same course, while students only need to see one course room for the course. Now we have a solution to what we believe is a big improvement.
