Digital meetings and active student engagement

One of the most common components within online, distance, and blended courses is the use of videoconferencing to arrange digital meetings. That said, digital meetings have played a relatively minor role at KTH before the COVID-19 pandemic, with a massively increased use the last year as a tool for emergency remote teaching. Despite the opportunity digital meetings provide for engagement and interaction, an extensive application tends to be traditional lecturing where students are passive audiences instead of active co-creators.
