Canvas Administrator
Administrators in Canvas have access to all the school's course and examination rooms, which can facilitate local administration. A person who is to become an administrator in Canvas must be approved by their manager and have a relevant role, which gives reading permission in all courses at one or more schools. People who are to have editing permission also need to complete a short course in self-study format.
The role of administrator in Canvas
As a Canvas administrator, you get the right to administer all the school's Canvas rooms without having to be added to each course. It facilitates administration, review of courses, and more direct support locally at the school. The administrator role comes in two levels: reading permission and editing permission.
Ordering administrator permission
The person who is to have administrator permission must be appointed by their manager.
- The manager orders admin permission by emailing it-support@kth.se . Include the level of permission needed and an explanation of why it is needed.
- If the order is approved, the person will be granted reading permission.
- If the person is to have editing permission, the order will be passed on to E-learning, which will invite the person to a short course in self-study format. The course will end with a debriefing meeting with E-learning.
- After the debriefing meeting, the person will be granted editing permission.
