Supervision and organizational roles. The following are the academic and administrative roles and services that support you throughout your doctoral studies.
The following are the academic and adminstrative roles and services that support your studies.
Your supervisory team, the main supervisor and supervisor(s), provide support in your academic and research development. This inlcudes: research direction and methodology, publications and writing, Individual Study Plan (ISP), course selection and work progress, etc.
Department head: Overall administrative, budgetary, and strategic responsibility for the entire department.
Unit head:The Unit head is responsible for the overall work environment and can be contacted in cases of work environment concerns, conflicts, or escalation of issues.
Administartion: manages the department's administrative staff, operational systems, and executes budget/HR administration.
The DA is responsible for the academic structure, progress and quality of the doctoral programme. DA approves, new or revised ISP's, credit transfer for courses taken in other institutes, documents for defence applications.
PAD represents doctoral students within the programme. Besides arranging common activities, you can contact for advice on study-related issues,
The school PhD support provides administrative support for doctoral studies that inlcudes ISP management, course registration and credits, lic seminar and dissertation processes, etc.

Milestone seminars
Doctoral students are required to complete mandatory milestone seminars as stipulated in the ASP's. These milestones are at the 20%, 50%, and 90% of study progress for a PhD and at 50% ( ~one year after start) for licentiate. Follow these guides to prepare the seminars.

Courses from other programs and institutions
Courses taken from other Swedish universities, or from universities and institutions anywhere in the world, a credit transfer should be requested using this
credit transfer form
for approval so that the credits can be registered in Ladok.
Online courses
Online courses may also be credited towards the doctoral degree. Courses offered through edX are generally accepted. For courses outside edX or other established platforms, approval must be obtained from the Program Director (DA) before enrolling — this ensures that credit transfer is guaranteed in advance.
For an online course to be eligible for credit transfer, the certificate of completion must specify: the total workload in hours, assessment result and the course level (undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral level)
