Lifelong Learning (LLL)
Further education is categorised as lifelong learning (LLL). Lifelong learning refers to independent further education courses as well as commissioned training that companies and authorities buy for their employees.
On these pages, teachers at the ABE school can find information about how to go about applying to establish independent courses and commissioned training and learn what you need to keep in mind.
New in Lifelong Learning
Lifelong learning is an important activity for KTH and there are high goals in terms of education in lifelong learning. Activities within lifelong learning should within a few years comprise around twenty percent of KTH's educational activities.
What is the difference between further education courses and commissioned training?
Further education courses (Vidareutbildningskurser) are in most cases completely free and KTH receives compensation from the government for each registered course participant. Application for those courses is done through antagning.se within the admission periods that apply to the whole of Sweden.
Commissioned training (Uppdragsutbildning/UU) is provided on behalf of an organisation / company against a fee. In most cases, the company contacts KTH and asks for tailored skills development for its staff. The course structure can then be developed in dialogue with the teacher and it is the customer (the company) who pays.
