Gender Equality, Diversity and Equal Treatment (JML) work at the ABE school
Since the beginning of 2018, all schools have a designated Director of Gender Equality, Diversity and Equal Treatment (JMLA). ABE School's JMLA, together with the school's JML partner and the school's JML group, is responsible for the local JML work.

With the aim of improving and strengthening the organisation of the local JML work at the ABE School, a JML group has been established whose task is to raise the visibility of JML issues at the ABE school. This may be through, for example, meetings and seminars, and by working on shaping ways to actively strengthen and initiate local JML work regarding students, education,technical-administrative staff and faculty.
The group consists of representatives from the school's six departments, HR and the Education office and is led by the school's Director of Gender Equality, Diversity and Equal Treatment (JMLA) with the support of the school's JML partner.

Current activities
Mapping of academic housekeeping
The ABE school working group for gender equality, diversity and equal treatment issues (JML) has identified the need for a mapping of the academic housekeeping at the school. The mapping started in the autumn of 2023 and is expected to be presented in the spring of 2024. The work is led by consultants Helena Nilsson and Liselott Vahermägi from Stratvise in dialogue with Head of school and JMLA Björn Berggren.
A school reference library on gender equality, diversity and equal conditions
Read something that interests you in the ABE school’s JML reference library! The library includes 15 books on gender equality, diversity and equal conditions and is now in place at the school’s departments and school management office.
KTH has two main missions regarding equality, diversity and equal conditions at the university. The first is the assignment based on the Discrimination Act and the seven grounds for discrimination. The second assignment is Gender equality integration, where universities and colleges are to produce a plan for how the higher education institution intends to develop the work on integrating gender equality.
