Basic fire safety course (in English)

Offered to all employees at KTH

The basic fire safety course is offered to all employees in English. It is also a mandatory part of the introduction of new employees at KTH. You will learn theory about fire safety and the practical use of fire extinguishers.

Terms and conditions

1 Marchis the last day to register to the course.

Registration is binding after the last day of registration. Always notify in writing to personalutveckling@kth.se if you are prevented to attend. Your seat can be handed over to a colleague but the administrator must be notified in that a case.

No course fee, but an administrative fee of SEK 800 will be charged if you do not notify your absence in writing to personalutveckling@kth.se.

Target group

All staff at KTH.

The training is a mandatory part of the introduction of employees at KTH.

You will learn theory about fire safety and the practical use of fire extinguishers.

  • Preventive fire measures
  • Fire risks in one's own environment
  • Psychological behavior
  • First important action
  • Extinguishing equipment
  • Fire/evacuation alarm
  • Building technology's fire protection
  • Escape routes, escape strategy
  • KTH's alarm routines.

Course fee

This course is centrally funded. There will be no course fee.

Participants

Maximum of 80 and minimum of 20 participants.

Aim and background

To provide KTH personnel with basic knowledge of fire risks in their work environment (office environment) and routines to prevent these.

Target/Learning outcomes

Prevent fire from occurring and limit its consequences.
