Amelie about KTH's visit to San Francisco
Head of School Amelie Eriksson Karlström writes about her trip to the USA and San Francisco together with a delegation from KTH.
This week, together with the president and a large delegation from KTH, I am on a trip to San Francisco. The week began with the event "The Stockholm Model" on the theme of research, collaboration and innovation. We arranged panel discussions in various subject areas with prominent people from both Sweden and the USA. Some very interesting and thought-provoking things came up during the discussions!
I myself moderated the life science panel, where, among others, our own CBH professor Emma Lundberg, who also has an affiliation at Stanford University, participated.
Tuesday evening ended with a meeting with KTH alumni who now work in "the Bay area". It was fun to hear about their experiences in California and what they have with them from their time at KTH. We have a busy schedule to make the most of the time and the week will continue with visits to UC Berkeley, Stanford University and UC Davis. I will come back to KTH next week – inspired, but a little tired!
