Current scholarship announcements

At the moment, there are several scholarships announced at KTH that researchers, teachers and doctoral students at the CBH School can apply for.

Advertisement of grants from the Karl Engvers foundation

(Application period is September 1-30)

The purpose of this foundation is to promote research at KTH.Grants are awarded to scientists, teachers and PhD students at KTH to be used for travel to conferences, congresses etc. and for presentation of scientific results. Due to restrictions regarding COVID- 19 you are able to apply and attend to Digital Seminars during this period of time.

Applications are to be made electronically on Handelsbanken's website , under the headline "Forskning". Applications received by post will not be processed. All applicants will receive a notification of the result by e-mail no later than the end of December.

Per Hagbarth's Scholarship Fund

(Application period 4 - 24 September)

The foundation's purpose is to award scholarships to civil engineers, who are innovators and entrepreneurs, and KTH graduates from the departments which in the 1940s were called chemistry, chemical technology and technical physics, to help them develop their business ideas in their own companies.

This means that people with degrees from the following programs can apply for the scholarship:

  • • Technical Chemistry (CTKEM)
  • • Chemistry and chemical engineering (formerly K, now CKEMV)
  • • Biotechnology (BIO / CBIOT)
  • • Technical Physics (F / CTFYS)
  • • Energy and the environment (CENMI)
  • • Master of Science in Engineering and Teacher (CL all specializations)

The foundation awards one or two scholarships of SEK 50,000 to promote and support the research fellow's commercialization of results or business ideas that are linked to or derived from the research fellow's education or research. The money may be used for activities linked to commercialization, eg share capital at company start-up or patent application.

Attach a document (max 2 A4) with a description of the business concept based on the following headings:

  • • The need for your solution for potential customers
  • • Description of your solution
  • • Advantages compared to other alternatives
  • • The competitive situation in the market
  • • Connection to completed education / research at KTH
