Amelie on the dialogue with Chalmers and Luleå University of Technology
Head of Scholl Amelie Eriksson Karlström writes about the dialogue with the university leaders from Luleå University of Technology and Chalmers University of Technology.
The autumn semester has started with long-planned visits to KTH by the university leaders from Luleå University of Technology and Chalmers University of Technology. The purpose of the visits is to have a dialogue between the university management and try to identify areas where we have common interests and can make new investments.
Last week I participated in the visit from Luleå, where there were pleasant and rewarding discussions on everything from wooden structures to AI and space. One of our heads of department, Carina Lagergren, also participated from the CBH school, who talked about ongoing activities and collaborations with Luleå in the field of hydrogen production and storage. There is a lot of exciting research going on at both universities. Hopefully, the discussions can lead to new initiatives, such as new educational collaborations and joint research applications.
Later this week, a delegation from Chalmers will come to KTH, where a similar programme is planned to discuss education and research in areas of interest to both universities. I look forward to another fruitful meeting! The technical universities in Sweden have similar challenges and it is interesting to hear how others are working on current issues.
