Amelie about her first time as head of school

Published Jan 18, 2023

Amelie Eriksson Karlström writes about her first weeks as Acting Head of School at CBH and the President’s visits to Flemingsberg and Solna.

I have now been Acting Head of School since the New Year and the first week after the holidays was busy, but fun! A first task was to participate in the visits that our new President and Deputy President made to our campuses in Flemingsberg and Solna. In Flemingsberg, the MTH institution at CBH hosted the visit and the President got to tour the labs, meet employees and students and look at the Maker space. In Solna, we visited two of KTH's national infrastructures, NGI and NMI, and a research group at the Department of Protein Science. We talked a lot about the collaboration between KTH, Karolinska Institutet and Stockholm University within the framework of SciLifeLab, and the President and Deputy President got to meet young faculty from all three universities. Thank you to everyone who participated in the visits – you showed a good picture of our operations and it seemed to be greatly appreciated by our new President!

Now on Friday at 3 p.m. it's the farewell party for our former Head of School Micke and I am happy to know that many of you have signed up to be there. I look forward to seeing you at AlbaNova on Friday!
