CBH lends medical equipment during the pandemic

During the corona pandemic, the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Health Systems at KTH have lent medical technology equipment, which usually is used in research projects and teaching, to the medical service.
At present, a respirator and two ultrasound machines have been lent out to assist in the expansion of intensive care capacity at Karolinska University Hospital in Huddinge.
“It is natural that we at KTH make a small contribution to the large resource collection that takes place within the health care in Stockholm,” says Örjan Smedby, head of the Department of Biomedical Imaging.
