KLARA Chemical Inventory Period Set for January- February, 2021
A yearly inventory of all chemicals stored at CBH is completed through our chemical inventory system, KLARA. Although this may appear just another routine task, the information collected is vital to maintaining a good working environment in the schools laboratories.
This data enables more efficient use of chemicals (can we borrow 5 grams from a neighboring lab instead of buying a new bottle?), helps us maintain fire safety standards (how much flammable material are we storing?) and assists our work towards phasing out harmful chemicals when possible. Across the school a team of employees is involved in inventorying the tens of thousands of chemicals we have in our laboratories.
