KTH’s new President visited Campus Flemingsberg
On Monday, January 9, KTH’s new President Anders Söderholm visited KTH in Flemingsberg.
”I visit all campuses. It is very important, all business is important wherever it is conducted and it is a way of seeing the activities in their context”, says Anders Söderholm.
Since he took office in December, Anders Söderholm has made study visits to each of KTH’s five schools. He will also visit all of the university’s departments. The visit in Flemingsberg was part of a tour of all campuses.
Took part in examples of research and education
During half a day, the President got to greet co-workers at the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Health Systems and took part in examples of research and education in the Makerspace, the Integration lab, the labs of the department and within the Technical Preparatory education. Anders Söderholm also participated in strategic discussions with the school’s and the department’s management.
”I have received a very good impression. You can see that there are very committed co-workers and students. It is important to integrate the entire business at KTH. The external campuses are located where they are for a reason and it is interesting to get to learn the story behind it”, says Anders Söderholm.
