Mikael on the CBH School's gender equality work

Published Dec 03, 2020

CBH's work environment/JML group has been running for over a year now. The group supports the Head of School in the work for greater gender equality, diversity, and equal treatment of the CBH School. Below, I write about some of the activities we have carried out this year, but also what is planned for CBH next year.

In the area including study environment for students with disabilities, we have several activities underway:

• Physical round with FUNKA glasses together with an accessibility consultant

• A workshop for the members of the project group and others at the school regarding the accessibility

• Clarify for students and others who need help where to turn and how to contact the school

• A custom laboratory bench has been ordered

During the autumn, we conducted a workshop with CBH's management group and collaboration group. The workshop, entitled "Rehabilitation - welcome back", was organized by the Social Partners’ Council.

During April and May next year, we will conduct a JML training in inclusive leadership for managers and administration.

• The purpose of the training is that the managers, based on their role and responsibility, acquire diversity and gender knowledge and receive concrete leadership tools for support in their leadership and thus can contribute to employees being able to work in the organization on equal terms for both their own career development and skills supply. operations and business development.

• The goal is for all managers to be strengthened in their leadership role and with the support of new knowledge, insights and tools can exercise inclusive leadership - so that all employees can work on equal terms and lead the work for an inclusive culture and work environment.

Furthermore, we will conduct training for the administration during March and April 2021. The training begins with three half days for the whole group with interactive, experience-based lectures and exercises where we get examples of how different standards affect us and our workplaces.
